The league is always there to provide an opportunity to play Necromunda at the LWG club, however we all play Necromunda to scratch that narrative and progressive RPG style itch. And the Necromunda game system does this best through time limited campaigns with a storyline or structure attached.
Throughout the year we will run campaigns at various times, typically only one running at any time and they run in conjunction with Cog-League. The campaigns will typically use the latest Cog-League house rules as a basis and then build up or vary the rules to lean into the narrative or style of the campaign.
Similar to the League, the House Rules for Cog-Port Campaigns are broken into three sections, Core Values (listed within the League Pages), Latest Cog-League House Rules (listed within the League Pages) and Campaign Specific House Rules (listed on the page dedicated to the specific campaign). The Campaign House Rules will always be the key set of rules and will override any other conflicting rule sets.
Joining any Cog-Port related campaign should be easy:
⚙️ Join our WhatsApp group and express your interest. (You must be part of the LWG MeetUp group first which can be joined as per here)
⚙️ Setup your gang(s) on Gyrinx and provide the organisers a link to your gang through WhatsApp. You will then be added to the Campaign tracker on Gyrinx.
⚙️ Find an opponent through the WhatsApp group and signup to play at LWG or a venue of your choice (generally booked via MeetUp).
⚙️ Battles between opponents may be organised and arranged by the arbitrator running the campaign, this will be made clear campaign by campaign.
⚙️ Play games and record your results on Gyrinx.
⚙️ Use WhatsApp for additional pre-and post-battle admin, questions for arbitrators, commiserations, trash-talking, in-character threats etc.
