The London Wargaming Guild, a not-for-profit community, was founded in 2013 and is dedicated to all things wargaming, including Warhammer 40K, Necromunda, Kill Team, Fantasy, Horus Heresy, Age of Sigmar, Shadespire, Blood Bowl, and many more!
Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned veteran, a hobbyist passionate about painting and crafting, or someone who enjoys the social side of gaming, this group is for you. We meet regularly in central London for gaming sessions across a wide variety of games, with strong interest in the Warhammer universe and Dungeons & Dragons.
What We Offer: Regular gaming sessions and casual meetups; social events and tournaments; a welcoming atmosphere with a strong sense of camaraderie
The London Wargaming Guild (LWG) is built on the principles of fun, fairness, and inclusivity. As a not-for-profit, our goal is to foster a passionate community that thrives on collaboration and a love for the hobby. Our focus is on keeping things friendly, fun, and honourable. The club’s motto, "Victis Honor!" (meaning “Honour to the Vanquished”), underlines our commitment to fair play and friendly competition. We aim to match members with others of similar skill and interests to ensure a rewarding experience for everyone.

Peter Davies, Club FounderTHE ACTUAL "CORE VALUE"
Be nice / Don’t be a dick – The first and most important rule. Ask yourself if it feels like you’re trying to find a loophole or game the system. If it does, then it probably is and it won’t be fun for other players. So, don’t.
Remember: We are grown adults and we are playing a game of plastic soldiers gangers where normal people can’t make fun of us. It should be impossible to take seriously. In summary, the best game of Necromunda is one where, regardless of the eventual victor, all players had fun and legends were made.
ARBITRATION
If no arbitrator is present during a game, a gameplay issue arises, and there isn't consensus among other players on other tables: Agree on 2 possible solutions/rules interpretations between players and roll a D6 to decide. If necessary, raise the issue in the WhatsApp chat for resolution. If significant to future games, this decision can be recorded in these house rules.
"EVERY MODEL IS A NECROMUNDA MODEL"
We love all aspects of the hobby - playing, storytelling, painting, kit-bashing - but we don't stand on ceremony: painted models are preferred but grey plastic is fine, we all have that pile of shame to work through! We want everyone to show of your latest creations in all their glory! Proxy's, 'Bashes, 3D printed, or Off-Brand are all welcome as long as they are something you're proud off and aren't clearly created for advantage.
WYSIWYG
People should be able to get a fairly good idea what a fighters main weapon is from seeing them on the table. They should also reflect factors like: species*, armour types, flying, pet, etc. Be on an appropriate size base, and always be moddled for the love of the mini, and not for game advantage.
